The focus of Hangarau Matihiko ā-Takiwā is growing and strengthening digital fluency in kura Māori. This initiative supports whānau engagement in learning and teaching by inviting the “whole whānau” into the programme – kaiako, ākonga and whānau. We will achieve this by providing a programme of virtual learning and support for kaiako, alongside hands on learning for ākonga and whānau. Our programme design and approach is consistent with the principles of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa (TMoA).
